HOW TO CONTROL DRY LIPS

Dry lips can be very unattractive and most times it
will be painful. If your lips are looking dry and flaky
or you know someone with such, then you need to
read this article judiciously. Common symptoms of
this condition includes dryness, redness, cracking,
flaking, and tender or sore lips.
Some of the causes of dry lips are vitamin
deficiency, allergic reaction, dehydration,
smoking, excessive licking of lips, sun exposure
and harsh weather. One of the best solutions for
managing dry lips is the use of lip balm. This will
provide instant relief, but in most of the cases does
not provide a long term solution.
Some Useful Tips
Use a lip balm with sunscreen before stepping
out.
Never peel the dead dry skin from the lips.
You should always keep your body hydrated
by drinking lots of water. People who do not
drink enough water are more likely to get dry
lips and dry skin.
Gently brush your lips using a soft toothbrush
like I told you in the article about getting pink
lips, to get rid of the dead cells that will cause
more drying and flaking.
You should never lick of bite your lips, it will
cause more chapping.
Vitamin A rich food, like, carrots, tomatoes
and green leafy vegetables should be included
in the diet to solve the problem of your dry
lips.
Apply lip balm every night before sleeping, you
can use pure shea butter if possible.
Ways Of Managing Dry Lips
Aloe vera
If you are already using aloe vera for the various
conditions that I have discussed under this
platform, I am sure you would have been seeing
result by now. Aloe Vera is an healing agent for our
skin. Put a small amount of Aloe Vera gel on your
lips daily to cure dry lips. Aloe Vera will strengthen
the thin protective oil layer, which covers the lips.
Simply apply Aloe vera gel to your dry lips and it
will provide a soothing and cooling, healing, as well
as helping to restore the lips natural moisturizing
condition.
Cucumber
Cucumber can perform wonders on your lips as I
have shared before and it will help you rid of dry
lips. It also has skin lightening properties and helps
remove tan. So it lightens your lips by reducing the
dark patches on them. Slice a cucumber and rub
them gently on the lips. Just leave it for 15 minutes
and wash off with plain water. This would also
make your lips soft and supple.
Honey
Honey is a great moisturizer that also has healing
and antibacterial properties as I also have shared
earlier and you can use it to treat dry lips. Just
apply pure organic honey on your dry lips several
times a day. You can also make a paste of honey
and glycerin and apply it before going to bed to
enjoy softer lips in the morning.
Sugar scrub
Like I have also shared before, sugar scrub is a
very good exfoliating agent and it will help you
remove dry dead cells from your skin . Just apply it
in the night before you sleep. Do this for several
days and get good results.
Olive oil
Olive oil is the best natural moisturizer and
lubricant. The fatty acids in olive oil help cure dry
lips, making them soft and supple. Apply olive twice
a day for best results.
Use any of these methods to leave your lips soft

and supple like a child.
