secret of a glowing skin

Eating right is a phenomenon that cannot be over-
emphasized. There are plethora of reasons why we
should eat a balanced diet and one of the most
important is to maintain an healthy skin. We need to
cut down on our calorie intake and replace foods
that are high in sugar and fat content with those
high in fibre.
Sugar and fat are very bad for the skin; trust me I
know. Although our lifestyle in general as the
greatest impact on our skin. We need to exercise
the more, quit smoking, sleep enough and eat right.
If you can achieve these lifestyle changes, you are
on your way to having a very beautiful and healthy
skin. There are certain food types that have special
effects on our skin. I will share some of them with
you in this article.
Foods You Should Crave food
Honey
The Abundant benefits we can derive from honey
can not be over-stated. We should substitute all
forms of refined sugar with honey. We can also do
one better and occasionally apply honey on our
skin, this will help in removing all the dead cells
thereby giving us a glowing look.
Olive oil
The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of
olive oil don’t just benefit you on the inside—they
soften your skin, too. When used topically, olive oil
results in smoother, more radiant skin. Plus,
consuming olive oil, provides antioxidants to disarm
free radicals and reduce inflammation. In addition to
working olive oil into your daily diet, apply as a lip
gloss and skin soother, as needed. If you have dry
skin, you’ll particularly benefit from topical
application. So whether you rub it or drink it, your
skin will glow.
Eggs
When it comes to eggs, there’s no need to separate
the benefits — both yolks and whites hold skin care
gifts. Egg yolks are an important source of
vitaminA which helps your skin repair itself. Egg
yolks are also a source of biotin, a B-complex
vitamin, which is needed for healthy skin and nails.
The yolk also contains lecithin, which is an
emollient that softens the skin.
Citrus
Be it oranges, lemon or lime, our skin is in for a
treat. Ascorbic acid is a prime skin-care ingredient
in tons of beauty creams. This vitamin aids in the
body’s production of collagen, a protein that forms
the basic structure of your skin. Collagen
breakdown, which starts speeding up significantly
around the age of 35, can leave your skin saggy.
Consuming extra vitamin C in citrus can help
tighten the skin and prevent wrinkles. Vitamin C
also may fight inflammation, and its antioxidant
properties can neutralize the free radicals that
damage cells and can prematurely age your face.
Whole grains
Whole grains include; oat, wheat, maize, brown rice
and millet. Whole foods are basically unprocessed
e.g whole wheat bread instead of white bread, for
instance. Whole grain wheat is a good source for
the antioxidant rutin, which helps combat
inflammation-related skin damage. In general,
whole grains instead of processed carbohydrates
can improve your complexion. Processed (or
refined) flours can cause an insulin spike, which in
turn can encourage pimples.
In all we do, we must be consistent and diligent to

have that beautiful body we greatly desire.
